Pro-family groups in California are pointing to a recent first-grade field trip as an example of the importance of passing Proposition 8.

For the school-sponsored trip, 18 first-graders -- ages 5 and 6 -- were taken to San Francisco City Hall to witness the wedding of their teacher and her lesbian partner. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the school's principal said the field trip was "a teachable moment." (see related article with pictures in the Chronicle) In contrast, Frank Schubert, one of the managers for the ProtectMarriage.com campaign in the Golden State, describes the school-sponsored trip as indoctrination of young children. "I doubt the school has ever taken kids on a field trip to a traditional wedding," he quips.
 
Sonja Eddings Brown, a spokesperson with ProtectMarriage.com, says the field trip was inappropriate.
 
"I think it's an experience that those children will probably never forget. That's what is a concern, because children are in their most trusting and developmental stages when they start kindergarten, first grade, and second grade," she explains. "All of us have had a very influential teacher at one time or another, especially in grade school, who we just thought walked on water -- and what if that teacher introduced us to the idea of gay marriage?"
 
Officiating at the lesbian couple's wedding was San Francisco's pro-homosexual mayor, Gavin Newsom. In addition, news reports indicate some of the children who attended the wedding wore "No on 8" campaign buttons.

Proposition 8 would amend the California constitution to recognize marriage as only between a man and a woman. The ProtectMarriage.com campaign says the school field trip demonstrates that the California Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex "marriage" has real consequences.

This was sent to me via my email inbox. This is not a good indication should this man become the President of the land. Pretty, pretty scary of what the future holds...

Dear Fellow American:

Never before in the history of our nation have we faced such a grave crisis: one of the most radical political figures ever to be nominated by a major party is just minutes away from becoming President of the United States.

That man is Barack Obama.

He promises to change America forever. If elected, he will do just that — but in ways you may not like.

Remember Obama is the most liberal member of the United States Senate.

He received a 100 percent Liberal Rating from the National Journal, making him the most left-wing Senator in Washington — more liberal than even Democratic senators like Ted Kennedy.

If you look at Obama’s record, you will understand just how dangerous this man is.

He even has terrorist friends he won’t denounce. One such man is William Ayers,  a leader in the radical terrorist group the Weatherman Underground. The group bombed several government buildings, including the Pentagon, killing civilians and police officers.

In 2001, Ayers said he had no regrets for his actions and wished he could have done more. 

The ties between Obama and Ayers are tight. Both served on two non profit boards and they worked closely together. Ayers even hosted a political event at his home for Obama.

Obama has acknowledged he is a friend of Ayers and defends his association by saying he, Obama, was only 8 years old at the time of the Pentagon bombing.

However, Obama has no explanation as to why he is still a friend of Ayers.

Obama has even been endorsed by radicals such as Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan.

No one can deny hearing about Obama’s relationship with the America-hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

There should be little doubt that William Ayers and Louis Farrakhan and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright are rooting for Obama — because he is one of them.

In keeping with such friends, Obama has promised to meet with radical leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without “preconditions” even though Ahmadinejad has promised to “wipe Israel off the map” and  “destroy” America.

Even radical Hamas terrorists have praised him.

“We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election,” Ahmed Yousef, senior Hamas leader was quoted by ABC radio as saying.

Dangerous Economic Plan

And then there are Obama’s dangerous economic plans for America.

He wants to almost double the capital gains tax. He wants to strip the FICA tax cap off every worker making more than $97,500. He wants to increase the dividend tax. He wants to let the Bush tax cuts expire — giving almost every American family an automatic tax increase.

He has called for more than $800 billion in new spending programs.

He is so radical he even backed driver’s licenses for illegal aliens — even though such a move would help future terrorists move freely in the United States.

He is the most pro-abortion candidate in the history of the country. In 2001, as a state legislator in Illinois, he opposed a bill to protect live born children — children actually born alive!  He was the only Illinois senator to speak out against the bill.

He opposes gun rights. He has long history of trying to deny ordinary citizens access to guns.

He originally backed Washington D.C.’s total ban on private handguns — a ban that was overturned. The NRA rated him an “F” on gun positions and says he is one of the most dangerous anti-gun politicians in the nation.

Never forget that Obama is a Harvard educated elitist. To him we Americans are simply “bitter” and he has mocked us saying “[they] cling to their guns and their religion.”

"Physicians are manipulated into going against their consciences and performing abortions, says David Brewer, all in the name of helping women. He described witnessing a suction abortion for the first time during his medical training.

'I can remember...the resident doctor sitting down, putting the tube in and removing the contents. I saw the bloody material coming down the plastic tube, and it went into a big jar. My job afterwards was to go and undo the jar, and to see what was inside.

I didn't have any views on abortion; I was in a training program, and this was a brand new experience. I was going to get to see a new procedure and learn. I opened the jar and took the little piece of stockingette stocking and opened that little bag. The resident doctor said, "Now put it on that blue towel and check it out. We want to make sure that we got it all." I thought, "That'll be exciting--hand-on experience looking at tissue." I opened the sock up and put it on the towel, and there were parts of a person in there.

I had taken anatomy, I was a medical student. I knew what I was looking at. There was a little scapula ( either of two large, flat, triangular bones forming the back part of the shoulder) and an arm, I saw some ribs and a chest, and a little tiny head. I saw a piece of a leg, and a tiny hand and an arm and, you know, it was like somebody put a hot poker into me, I had a conscience, and it hurt. Well, I checked it out and there were two arms and two legs and one head and so forth, and I turned and said, "I guess you got it all." That was a very hard experiences for me to go through emotionally.

Here I was with no real convictions, caught in the middle. And so I did what a lot of us do throughout our life. We don't do anything. I didn't talk with anybody about it, I didn't talk with my folks about it, I didn't think about it. I did nothing. And do you know what happened? I got to see another abortion. That one hurt too. But again I didn't do anything, and so I kept seeing abortions. Do you know what? It hurt a little bit less every time I saw one.

Then I got to sit down and do an abortion. Well, the first one that I did was kind of hard, It hurt me again like a hot poker. But after a while, it got to where it didn't hurt. My heart got calloused. I was like a lot of people are today--afraid to stand up. I was afraid to speak up. Or some of us, maybe we aren't afraid, but we just don't have our own convictions settled yet.'"

As I was reading the Chapter "Blood Confessions" found on the The Marketing of Evil book, I felt so horrified, that I felt sick inside. Even as I posted parts of it here, my body felt the stress of how a desperate woman; she could be very young, trying to get rid in desperate measure a baby that is forming inside her. Every year, there's an approximate count of 1.3 million tiny babies that were killed by being destroyed completely and being reduced to nonexistence with the approval of their mothers. Most, if not all of these women, do not have any idea of what they are going to put their little live babies through when they decide to have them aborted. My heart cries for both these women and their unborn babies. It's true that something that you do not have any idea how it works and how it affects someone else won't bother you; but when you realize and your eyes are awakened to the truth that little unborn babies are being murdered each year, it surely affects your conscience, your common sense, your conviction and it does ache inside. For whatever reasons, these women who decide to end their babies life, would find the experience a predicament. It's a difficult plight that will bring a scar and a guilty feeling in their hearts as they go through with their everyday lives afterwards. Because sooner or later, this sad decision will definitely come back to haunt them. It is something that they will never forget in their lives. It's a memory that they may try to suppress and try to forget, but it will be there in the back of their minds. Hopefully, they will find a way in the future to heal their hearts that were broken for choices that affect their destinies in life. I am hopeful that they will find their way to Jesus who died on the cross so all our transgressions can be forgiven to bring us on right standing with God.

Each year, almost half of all pregnancies among American women are unintended. About half of these unplanned pregnancies, 1.3 million each year, are ended by abortion.

Most abortions (88%) are obtained in the first trimester of pregnancy. In fact, over half of all abortions are obtained within the first 8 weeks. Fewer than 2% occur at 21 weeks or later.

Women who obtain abortions represent every religious affiliation. 13% of abortion patients describe themselves as born-again or Evangelical Christians; while 22% of U.S. women are Catholic, 27% of abortion patients say they are Catholics.

Week 8

How Big is the Baby at Eight Weeks Pregnant?
Think bean! By pregnancy week 8 your baby is anywhere from 14 to 20mm long, or about the size of a Lima bean! Many women in fact continue to refer to their baby as their little 'bean' as they follow their pregnancy week by week. Though it is hard to believe your little bean will one day grow into a full size baby!

Your Baby's Growth and Development

Your baby is doing a lot of growing during pregnancy 8 weeks. Up until this point in time your baby had a small tail... that starts to disappear this week, and your little one will soon have eyelids to cover their blossoming eyes. While the arms and legs are also lengthening, the fingers and toes are likely to still be webbed. Your baby's brain is also maturing during pregnancy week 8, as nerve cells begin to connect with one another, forming the groundwork for communication later in life.

Did you know the tip of your baby's nose is even formed by pregnancy 8 weeks? The lungs are also working hard at maturing by pregnancy week 8, though they won't be fully mature until near term. However, tubes leading from your baby's throat to the lungs begin to form branches.

By week eight your baby should also have distinct elbows, which allow the arms to curve around the chest. Your baby's organs continue to develop with lightning quick speed. Before you have time to even blink an eye your little one will resemble a miniature human being, complete with ten fingers, ten toes, skin and all the body parts we all have!

Week 21

Baby: Your baby measures about 7.2 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 10.5 ounces. The fetus is steadily gaining fat to keep warm. Growth rate is slowing down but organ systems, like digestion, are continuing to mature. A waxy film, called the vernix caseosa, is being produced by your baby's oil glands and covers the skin to keep it supple in the amniotic fluid. Buds for permanent teeth are beginning to form.

Week 22

Baby: Your baby measures about 7.6 inches and weighs about 12.3 ounces. The muscles are getting stronger every week now, and the eyelids and eyebrows are developed. Your baby's acrobatics are pretty constant, and since he responds to sound, rhythm and melody, you can try singing and talking to him. After he's born, the same sounds will soothe him.

Judge Not... but what does God say about them? If God is known as an unchanging God, His moral laws still apply today. If God is the same yesterday, today and forever, His moral laws still stand true today. If He is the Creator of the world and what's in it, His laws are as good as they were in the ancient times. Jesus Christ came to fulfill these laws of God. He did not abolish them at all, contrary to wild speculations of today's generation. Based on God's moral laws, He has already done the judging when His laws are ignored. Not unless the people under God's judgment have seeked and asked sincere forgiveness from God through His Son and have turned away from their sins, God has already given His judgment:

I haven't had dreams that deserve to be posted here lately. Most are just something that I remember when I wake up, but as soon as I go about with my daily life routine, I would have completely forgotten the dreams.  I then consider the forgotten dreams not important after all.

I am getting used to the idea of not seeing my grandson everyday. He turned 4 last week and after that when I saw him again, he has changed some. He speaks up much more and developing ways that if not nipped in the bud, would cause an unbendable ways later in his life. All of the nurturing we had done to cultivate in him good manners seemed like they went flying out of the window. At 4, he is a little demanding and stubborn with his ways. He spent the night with us Sunday as his mom got sick after a trip out of town. He stayed with us most of the day yesterday and we spent most of it trying to do things his way to make him happy. His dad picked him up and before leaving, we asked him to put away his toys which he always would do without hesitation before. This time he stood his ground to be a little pain and refused to do what he was told. I ended up putting away his toys. I guessed he had learned that if he won't do what he is told, it would not really make a difference anymore.  He would not have to deal with us the next day anyway. Oh well, we are just the grandparents, the parents have that responsibility to raise him to be a better person and not a spoiled one. So life goes on, I guess.

Anyway, the world is getting weirder and weirder every minute. The things I used to like to watch on TV no longer have the appeal to me. The media and entertainment world are getting so out of hand that everything goes is the motto of each day. I have to be mindful and careful on which to get to read the headlines for the day. Everyone seem like they have something to say and mostly it something to ruin the rest of your day. Everybody has an opinion and they want people to hear about it. It could be of something out of nothing, or something so negative that they want others to emphatize with the way they feel. The more the merrier. Instead of learning wisdom and values, you would learn how this world think in general. How spoil rotten people have become. It's really the me-me generation and we are all living in it in a psychedelic way. Webster describe the word psychedelic as: characterized by, or generating hallucinations, distortions of perception, altered states of awareness, and occasionally states resembling psychosis. These people do not even have to be on cracks to have minds that are distorted, as it is their perception about life and how to live it,-- that is totally out of whack.

Morality to these people is just a word. There's no real meaning to it and the word does not apply to them. They are free agents and can do whatever pleases them and what can give them a natural high. And most changed the true meaning of morality into something that works in their favor, even though in the eyes of those that know what the word really means just watch as the majority of these so called free spirited fall into their eventual and ultimate destruction. The world right now is a modern copycat of the ancient Roman Empire, but much, much bigger in scope than the empire that eventually met its sad ending. Everything has it's season, as King Solomon found out later on in his life.

The 1920s were crucial for the formation of the modern-day body ideal; by the end of the decade, women, under the combined impact of the cosmetic, fashion, and advertising industries, had for the first time in large numbers put on makeup and rayon stockings, and abandoned corsets for rubber girdles. The rage for sunbathing in the interwar years further legitimated the public display of the body. Whereas Christian religious traditions aimed to subordinate the body to ‘higher’ spiritual ends, modern consumer culture works to release the naked body from shame and guilt. The individual's primary responsibility shifts from his soul to his health, body shape, and appearance. While age-old controversies regarding homosexuality, pornography, drinking, gambling, and other ‘immoral’ practices remain current today, they are perhaps less compelling than the dilemmas created by recent innovations in medical technology. The availability of techniques to alter the beginning of life (through fertility drugs, surrogacy, or prenatal testing) and the end of life (through doctor-assisted suicide or machine-enhanced existence) has prompted the growth of a new morality — the ethics of medical intervention on the human body.

I've been missing my grandson. Since his mom has been on and off looking for a new job, my hubby and I haven't seen the little one as much as when his mom had a full time job. We got used to seeing him watching cartoons on his portable DVD player and playing with his toys and running around the house or riding his bike inside the house, that without him is something hard to get used to. I remember that he'd run to the kitchen and then to the pantry to check what he can eat. He is so familiar with our house that he knows every nook and cranny. He learned to used the potty in the house and he has a preferred bathroom to use... the master bathroom!  He enjoyed taking a bath in our master bathtub because the room has natural lighting coming from the outside. So he felt safe. I miss those times.

Although, it takes a lot of our time to take care of him, we really enjoyed being around him and we doted on him. He shared many new discoveries with us and I am glad I took a lot of photos of him and videos while we spent those times with him. He is turning four soon and would start preschool next month, so we know that it would not be a full time babysitting anymore. But the abrupt change of our everyday schedule somehow made the house seems lacking of a little voice who made the days fun.

I have to organize this week the corner where he has his toys and put some of them away  and organize the pantry and the areas in the house to make it easier to adjust with this change. My mother in law is planning to visit with us in October, so maybe it's the right time to spruce up the house and keep us busy at the same time.

This could also be a start of something new for us to explore. We have been our grandson's caregiver since spring of 2006 that our own interests have taken a back seat. It could be a start of what God has in store for us since we relocated.

It's a new day and now that I am able to write how I feel about this change, it also opened my mind to new things to look forward to.
