  • You can rely on God in everything you do!

  • Some of the Bible verses can be depressing. This Holy Book tells the truth about the world we live in. In this day and age, you see and hear people who are not morally sound in mind and heart, which show on their daily choices in life. The main reason why many reject and avoid reading this book or any materials or articles that pertain to the Word of God. The Bible scriptures are like seeing our faces perfectly reflected by the water, when looking into it.

"As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man." Proverbs 27:19

God's holy words can do the same; the Bible makes us see the condition of our hearts. It talks about our lack of moral values. Our being ungodly. More so for those who do not know anything about God and His commands and instructions. The Bible said because we are overcome by sins against God, we are powerless to the strongholds of the devil in our lives. For the ungodly, they do not even know that they are under the power of the devil and his demons.

Here in Romans 5:6 verse, the apostle Paul was preaching through a letter to the Romans who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He was giving them the encouragement that though they were sinful, Jesus died for them and the ungodly to save them and us from the eternal destruction of humans' souls.

God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ is for everyone.

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”  Romans 10:9-10

  •  "I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross, but here I am to worship You, my Lord and my God!"

  • God picked a woman that is pure, no worldly attachment and with a pure heart to carry baby Jesus in her womb. The baby will be God's representative to this dying world. A new birth always means new hope. Each morning is new. The Bible said that God's promises are always new in the morning. Each day, as believers, we should always have a brand new hope for this world.

As a born again Christian, my hope is always in God. Jesus said that when you are born again in Christ, everything is new, a spiritual awakening of God's love and Truth. Being born again in Christ is a wisdom knowledge that God is with you, through His Holy Spirit to guide and teach about God and His goodness.

"For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God." 1 Peter 1:23

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." John 3:3

  • Among the four books written about Jesus in the New Testament, the Gospel according to John is my favorite. This book plays an eye opener to me. This is the book of Scriptures that I found when I started researching about Mary Magdalene. In a newer version of the movie Jesus Christ Superstar, there was a connotation, during the interview on special features of the DVD, or an interpretation that Mary Magdalene had a love affair with Jesus Christ during His ministry on earth. As a catholic, it disturbed me emotionally. What I've read on the Book of John changed my outlook about Jesus Christ forever. Jesus becomes real to me. He was no longer, in my consciousness,  that Jesus in the catholic church that was permanently on the cross in the middle of the altar.

I did not realize at the time that I had a divine revelation and a divine intervention. I was just crying so hard in front of the computer feeling the loving touch of God. It was a holy week and I was on a week vacation from work. The whole week became a spiritual awakening for me.

It is also John's book that has given me many insights of Jesus teachings. One of the best movies about Jesus that I watched is The Gospel According to John. It was introduced to me by a dear friend of mine at work and lent me the DVD to watch. The movie was done so well based exactly on what was written on the Holy Bible. More divine revelations have come to me, more understanding and more discernment thru the Book of John.

I've learned that John was the youngest among the twelve disciples of Christ and was also responsible in writing the Book of Revelations. He died of old age, a few among Jesus early followers that did not die through crucifixion. I've learned that he was exiled to Mt. Patmos where Jesus Christ appeared to him.

In the above verse which is on my calendar for January 10, Jesus was speaking to His disciples in the last hour before He was arrested. He was giving them instructions and guidance. You could really feel how Jesus was feeling that night. At least, I did. He was full of love for them who He considers as His friends. He knew that He would lay down His life for them. He will give them salvation and a chance to be with Him and God, His Father, in heaven.

This verse sounds condescending, that "if you love me, then I will love you, too" type of a thing; but it's not. Jesus with a broken heart as it was and is for us, knowing what would happen to Him in a few hours and days that would follow, was full of emotional turmoil. He was going to suffer from the hands of His detractors before He'd be crucified. Jesus was 100 percent human; and if it was us who would experience the torture He suffered, how would you feel? Are you able to go through it all, bear the worst suffering just for us so we can be reconciled with God and be called His children? What an undying LOVE He has for us until the end; until today!

In this verse, He is telling us that when we put His teachings into practice and they become the values of our life, they become the standards from which we live by, we will reap the rewards not only here on earth but also in heaven forever where true LOVE abides. God is the epitome of LOVE, He is the inventor and the originator of LOVE. His LOVE for us is beyond comparison, beyond measure. God has already loved us even before we were born.

  • The verse from my calendar this Wednesday.
Iniquity according to the dictionary means a wicked act or in short, sin against our only True, living God.

Based on this word, we are ALL guilty. We are hopeless to the core. Whatever we do, like acting to be good; praying to the gods made of wood, stone or any material or person we make as our savior or idol; helping others or donating to a cause, going to church; whatever it is to make us feel all is right with ourselves and God, are a waste of time and is not acceptable to God. Our destiny after leaving this earth is deservingly in the pits of the devil's ruling kingdom.

Although God loves us, we are covered with sins that God hates. Sin that is a representative of the ruler of this world. Satan who persuaded Eve to disobey God by eating the forbidden fruit of knowledge of this world. Sharing it with Adam made the sin complete to rule them and the generations of people after them. We are full of iniquities and nothing can save us.

But why did Eve eat the fruit and caused a ripple of sins? God loves us to the point of giving us our own free will. God loves us so much. We are the apple of His eye. We are His children and His intent is to have a personal and loving relationship with Him. So much like what is in heaven now. The people that died, the ones that called Jesus their Lord and Savior and obeyed His commands, also have free will in heaven. Heaven is made of so many communities of Jesus' believers that love God and each other. Heaven is a place where Jesus' commands of loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and loving others as yourself, become a fulfillment. This life in heaven was meant for us here on earth when God created it. God always has in mind what is best for us. He wanted to give us heaven here on earth when He created it.

But like a sheep, we all went astray and we lost our way. God knows it and He pains for us. He formed us in our mother's wound to know Him and have a relationship with Him; but the distractions from this wicked and dying world took us away from Him. We are such sad creatures, so self absorbed and self centered that we do not know we are destined to live a life full of brokenness.

With so much love for us, God has made a way to reconcile us to Him. The ultimate sacrifice from Him. God in the person of Jesus Christ, died on the cross to carry and bring with Him all humans' iniquities; all the filths in our inner spirits to die with Him and make us new. Clean and white as snow.

The Book of Isaiah is part of the Old Testament. God revealed to His prophet Isaiah that He has a plan of saving His people that He loves. Through His own blood, we will be saved from the strongholds of the evil one, the enemy of our souls.

How can you not love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength? God's love that expects nothing in return, but just to save us and have a life that is best for us here on earth and ultimately, in heaven.

  •  On the lighter side, this verse in Psalms, is what shows on my Calendar for January 8th.

I've added the song Thy Word from Amy Grant, since her version, was the one that made a mark in my consciousness about this verse. It helps me to always remember that Jesus is my Guide. That God's promises keeps my hope steadily high. The verse reminds me to always meditate on God's Word with my comings and my goings. The verse speaks to me to not depart from it. That it is sharper than a sword and will always come in my remembrance when I'm lost for my own words. The verse reminds me to discern what is of God, to test any thing spoken.

This verse reminds me to be a light and not to keep it only to myself, which sometimes I tend to do when the world distracts me. The verse reminds me to pause and have quiet moments with God, so I can hear Him better.heartheart

  • This Bible verse strikes a chord in my heart. God was speaking to the prophet Jeremiah about knowing him before he was formed in his mother's womb. Since all of us are created by God, God knew us and has plans for us when He formed us. I can envision fully well now how God must really feel the pain each time a baby is rejected to be born. It's a disobedient to Him or in modern term, a "slap on His face."

I read this book and on one of the chapters, it mentioned that little Colton met, in heaven, his baby sister, that was miscarried in the womb of his mother. According to little Colton's account, he saw so many children in heaven. In learning more about babies that did not make it to this world, what played in my mind is that these children will never get a chance to have a journey in this world and live a purposeful life according to God's will. That these are children that will change the world for God. That these children when they grow up will lead away people from the grasp of the evil one and to the arms of Jesus Christ.

And since God has given us free will, how we would be taking care of that little baby in the womb is up to us. It is all up to us to learn to eat healthy, years before a baby's conception. God leaves to us the caring of our bodies.

God has given us two choices. On Deuteronomy 30:19 God said through Moses: "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live..."

So, depending on what we have chosen in life, is the destiny of the child or children that God has given us. If we are not wise in choosing what is morally right in the eyes of God, we will also have consequences that we need to face up and be accountable for.

Therefore, it is really very important that from the very start, from the time a baby is born, that we would be responsible enough to lead a child to where he/she will know God. Only if the child is surrounded with love and nurturing by his/her parents who are also focused sincerely on God and His precepts; a human embryo would have a chance to fulfill what God has planned for the future of the human being that He knew and that He will form in the mother's womb to fulfill His will, plan and purposes for him/her.

Of course for us that knew it a little late; after the storms had passed and trials have subsided, God has alternative plan if we accept the offer. It's never too late, while we are still on earth, to realize that we can be set free from the agony of treading life without God. God offers His free gift of Grace, in the person of His loving Son, Jesus Christ.

Still, God is calling you to make a choice: Life or death, blessings or curses... It's your free will to choose. I pray that you will choose one that lead to eternal life with Him; a chance to see the children that were given to us by God to love and nurture but we had chosen not to by cutting off their 'civil' rights to live.

  • That's the thing. If Jesus came today instead of two thousand years ago, the scene would still be the same. Most of us would not have believed. Why? Because it's our human nature to always be in doubt. Who can blame us? There's a lot that had come and gone who were false prophets. We are inundated with so much propagandas about everything under the sun.

The good news in this Scripture is Jesus revealed Himself to the woman. It is the "I am," the Gift God is offering to the world for salvation. The Living Water that will forever quench our thirst and will clean us of our sins and renew us. Blind no more.
