  • The Message:

     "Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help."

    Jesus Christ went through a lot of sufferings that most of us did not experience. He was willing to go to the cross and die for us. He experienced pain more than we could imagine.

    Psalm 22:  16 Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me,

    they have pierced my hands and my feet.

    17 I can count all my bones;

    people stare and gloat over me.

    18 They divide my garments among them

    and cast lots for my clothing.

    So there's nothing in our lives that Jesus did not experience, especially emotional pain and heartaches. Jesus Christ can relate when we have storms, trials and struggles in our life. He is always ready to help us and carry our burdens for us.

    It is in the renewing of our minds and allowing Jesus to make us new that we will be relieved of our earthly sufferings. No one is exempted in regards to the suffering of our hearts. Rich and poor experience the emotional trials of loneliness and depression. Why do people resort to drinking and doing drugs and other choices we make that destroy our bodies? They are going through emotional pain that defeat them. They believe they are strong by keeping their emotional pain to themselves with the help of things that numb their senses. Jesus Christ said that that is not the way to live your precious life.

    Jesus said on Matthew 11:   28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
