Made a felony in the early sixteenth century by statute and thus considered a common law felony in the United States. It was originally only an ecclesiastical offense. Sodomy includes both bestiality and buggery [copulation per anus] and in many jurisdictions has been expanded to cover other acts of unnatural sexual intercourse. Sodomy can be either consensual, by forcible compulsion, or with a physically helpless person, and includes such acts with underaged persons.
Modern statutes may limit the scope of sodomy such as by defining deviate sexual intercourse as "sexual conduct between persons not married to each other consisting of contact between the penis and anus, the mouth and penis, or the mouth and vulva." New York Penal Law §§130.38, 130.00(2).
The right of privacy is intertwined with challenges to sodomy laws. 270 Ga. 327. Many states still have sodomy laws which criminalize even consensual acts. These laws often have the effect of criminalizing sexual acts between gay people. 478 U.S. 186. Some states, however, have removed sodomy from the category of crime except to the extent that criminal sanctions are needed to protect individuals against forcible acts; young persons from sexual advances by older persons; and the public from open and notorious conduct that flouts accepted standards of morality in the community. Most Americans were angered by the Miss USA pageant unfairly discriminating against the moral values of Miss California Carrie Prejean. But equally disturbing is the reaction of young, self-proclaimed Christian celebrities who are taking the side of homosexual activist Perez Hilton, who led the attack against Carrie.
The sad fact is, nowadays most of America's youth receives either no Biblical truth or cotton-candy truth disguised as "Christian." Anti-religious government schools and the music that most parents let their kids consume have produced a pagan, go-with-your-feelings youth culture.
Today, the majority of America's daughters - even those in the Church - are being heavily influenced by Hollywood singers such as Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag, both who say they are Christians, yet hold non-Christian views on marriage. Right now, their pro-homosexual "marriage" values are reaching millions of young people through MTV and other media outlets.
This is something to understand and speak out on. Otherwise, more and more young people in the Church, even those who claim to be strong Christians, will misdefine "love" and "truth" and exchange Biblical truth for their own feelings. Their heart's desire to please themselves and please others will trump any desire to please the God of the Bible.
What follows is not a sordid interest in Hollywood lifestyles; it's a much-needed condemnation of the false gospel and false Biblical standards that are influencing young people. If you're a Christian - and even if your not - please join me in exposing this.
Sixteen-year-old pop star Miley Cyrus, who says she's a Christian and says she loves Jesus, attends the seeker-friendly Montrose Church (part of the Church of the Nazarene), where the pastor believes in easy Christianity, writing "God's truth never changes. He just loves you. It's that simple."
On April 21, Miley wrote this Twitter message expressing her support for homosexual "marriage" to homosexual activist Perez Hilton, who had publicly punished Carrie Prejean for supporting Biblical marriage between a man and a woman:
"God's greatest commandment is to love, and judging is not loving. That's why Christians have such a bad rep. Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That's like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he's gay and that is wrong and very sad! Like I said everyone deserves to be happy. I am a Christian and I love you - gay or not. Because you are no different that anyone else! We are all God's children! I am not saying this so would be nice on your site though that would be nice jk;) but because the LORD has spoken 'luv cuz god loves.'"
Meanwhile, another self-proclaimed Christian in Hollywood, MTV's Heidi Montag, age 22, wrote this Twitter message to Perez Hilton: "God says in the bible that we should love our neighbor and he created us all as equals. I know in my heart that gays and lesbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage and I hope to one day go to your wedding, Perez!!!"
This non-Biblical "love fest" kept going. After discovering they both supported homosexual "marriage," Montag twittered Miley, "Let's [meet] up!!!! we should have a bible study!! I love Miley!!!! Jesus loves Miley!" Miley responded, "We should deff. meet up sometime! i think we have alot in common!!!!! JESUS ROCKS! WHOO HOO!"
Now, what does Jesus and the Bible say about homosexuality and same-sex "marriage"? First of all, the definition of a Christian is someone who has confessed her sinful condition with a repentant heart; who trusts Jesus Christ - for His substitutionary death on the cross and His exclusive power to forgive sin and conquer death - as her only savior and master; who submits to Jesus' authority over all parts of her life; seeks to obey His commands and conform herself to Him; and when she fails, asks God's forgiveness with authentic sorrow over her sin.
Do Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag want to be Biblically-correct like Miss California Carrie Prejean says she wants to be? No, far from it. Despite their claims, Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag are in stark conflict with Jesus Christ and the Bible. Here's what the Bible says:
Marriage is only between a man and a woman
And He (Jesus) answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,' and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." The Bible calls Christians to obey God in all sexual matters

The Bible says the test of loving Jesus is whether you obey God's commands

The Bible says most people are not children of God, and not all children are obedient

Contact Miley Cyrus, her pastor Dave Roberts, and try to contact Heidi Montag to remind them what the Bible says about marriage being only for a man and a woman.

Based on Jesus' own actions, we can be sure He didn't mean we should ignore and tolerate evil. Jesus wasn't passively tolerant toward people who were doing evil things and promoting evil values. He often made judgments regarding their actions and confronted them ( Matthew 21:13; 23:13-36 ; John 6:70-71; 8:39-47 ).
Jesus taught in the tradition of the Old Testament prophets who consistently confronted evil—even at the risk of their lives1 ( 2 Samuel 12:1-12 ; 1 Kings 18:18 ). Like the prophets, Jesus illustrated that love is sometimes expressed through confrontation. If we love our neighbors as ourselves, we must at times be as willing to compassionately confront evil and self-destructiveness in their character as we are in our own. A father who gives his children anything they want spoils them. Likewise, our heavenly Father would ruin us if He set no limits for us and indulged our every whim. Love for our neighbor involves the same principle. There are occasions when God requires us to confront serious error and sin.
When we confront sin in the right spirit, we are acting in love, not judging in the sense of Jesus' words in this verse. When motivated by love, we won't be self-righteous and feel that we are better in the eyes of God. A loving heart is humble, knowing that before a holy God all people are equal ( Romans 3:9,23 ; Galatians 3:22 ; 1 John 1:8 ).
Judging, as Jesus condemned it in these verses, is unforgiving condemnation—a hypercritical, self-righteous, vindictive spirit that continually seeks to uncover the faults of others while overlooking one's own sins.2
Jesus' warning against this kind of judging emphasizes that any measure we use to judge other people will be used against us. He said, "For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" ( Luke 6:38 ). Jesus teachings elsewhere ( Matthew 6:14-15; 18:23-35 ) made it clear that self-righteous, unforgiving people will not be forgiven by God. Their rigid, unforgiving hearts demonstrate that they aren't the children of God ( 1 John 3:14-15 ). Their refusal to forgive others demonstrates that they have never experienced the purifying power of the Holy Spirit in their own life.
Personal experience illustrates the truth of Jesus' words. When we judge other people self-righteously and vindictively, they will respond to us in the same way. In contrast, if we are patient and compassionate, the people in our lives tend to overlook our minor failures and flaws.
More subtle, but no less damaging, is the internal effect of an unforgiving, judgmental spirit. Since we naturally project our own attitude upon others, judgmental people usually assume that other people are as vindictive and judgmental as they. This puts them under the crushing pressure of living up to their own harsh, unforgiving expectations.
Jesus' words in this verse don't require us to be passive in the face of evil. They require us to confront it in the spirit of compassion, humility, and love.
1. In fact, Jesus specifically identified Himself with the Old Testament prophets and told His enemies that they hated Him for the same reason that their fathers hated and killed the prophets ( Matthew 23:29-37 ).

The sodomite/lesbian lobbying groups are the number one enemy of the U.S. because those sins destroy nations totally, completely, burned to the ground, by GOD, according to Scriptures. The sodomite/lesbians are anti-GOD, they are abomination and if allowed to run this nation will totally destroy it by the power of the wrath of GOD. That is written in Romans chapter one, and also in Leviticus 18:22 as written to men, 'thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind;it is abomination.' {King James Holy Bible]. And for those of you who think of GOD as a big soft cuddly teddy-bear you'd be wrong. GOD is HOLY and HE is not mocked. HE does not justify sin ever. JESUS did not change that. People are not automatically forgiven of their sins by JESUS' arrival on the earth. Sinners have to repent and turn away from sin, and seek GOD's face and HIS forgiveness because if humans forgive you, it does not get you into heaven. IT is GOD's forgivenness that matters and that is not handed out like candy at a parade. It comes about in some cases with fasting, prayer for sometimes days,months maybe years until your heart is right with GOD. Here are some of the Scriptures that are my reason for writing this today:
